When you get your family in the car to go somewhere, you want to make sure that your car is as safe as possible. You want to know that your family will get from Point A to Point B safely. Generally, these checks don't cost a whole lot of money, so it's easy to go and get the check done. Brakes

One thing that a safety check will look at is your brakes. They will make sure that your brakes have enough surface to stop your car as quickly as they should. Tires

Another thing they are going to look is your tires. Your tires are really important to your steering and your braking. If your tires don't have enough tread on them, then you are going to have a hard time with steering and your car may take longer to stop. So, the service tech is going to look to see if your tires have enough tread. They may also look to see if your tires are properly aligned, which will help with both your steering and help your car ride more comfortably. 

Seatbelts

You may think that they only parts of your car that the service tech is going to look at are the exterior parts, however, they are also going to look at certain things inside. That includes your seatbelts. They will make sure that your seatbelts aren't about to break. They are also going to make sure that the seatbelts are securely anchored to the frame of your car, which is what makes them safe.
